Here are some pictures of our little plants (tomato, pumpkin, cucumber, and basil in the green tray) and strawberry plants in the growing bags.
They're waiting to go into the garden that David is building for me. I can't wait!!
We're digging through some decomposed granite so we can put in the last support pillar for the garden frame -- we have just about 3 more inches to go. So hopefully this weekend we'll be able to build the frame, install the gopher-proof wire mesh on the bottom of the frame, and install the bunny-proof chicken wire fence around the frame. And then put in the soil and plants! The tomato plants are just starting to grow little flower buds, so it won't be long before we can harvest our own fruits and veggies! After the garden frame is finished, we plan to build a frame for a sandbox for the boys so they can play there while I tend to the garden.
