Snow Days

Davy, with a post-Mass celebratory doughnut for good behavior.

The boys had yesterday and today off of school due to a winter storm that brought ice and a few inches of snow.  It was perfect snowball and snowman snow today!

First Annual Campbell Turkey Bowl

Spinning!

Surprise!  (Peter created this look by whooshing a blanket near her.  She actually liked it!)

"Now, just imagine you're weightless, in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by tiny little seahorses...."

And, I'm just realizing this post is devoid of any Davy pictures!  I'll try to post some soon.  He was too little to play in the football game with the big boys.  I wish I could adequately capture his character and "two-ness" on camera.  Maybe I'll try to sneak a video of him.  It is so fun to talk to him and to ask him questions and see what he comes up with.  He is a great mimic, and loves to sing songs that the boys are singing (which can be really cute or really gross, depending!).  I need to teach him some good Christmas carols soon!

A bit of a story:  So the other day, Jack had an army BlackHawk helicopter pilot come to school and talk about his job.  Jack was seriously impressed with the presentation, and the first thing he did when he got home was create a Lego BlackHawk and fly it around.  Thomas got wind of what Jack was making and decided that he wanted to make his own Lego helicopter (pictured).  Jack, for various not-nice behaviors toward Peter, earned the consequence of being Peter's servant for a day (i.e. play whatever Peter wanted, help him get snacks, do his chores for him, etc.).  And one of Peter's first requests was to ask Jack to build him a Lego helicopter.  And then all 3 boys played army helicopters together after that.  It was neat to see the trickle-down effect that one cool presentation by a soldier had on our family for a day!

Not Amused.

The elusive smile!

Another one!  This just about makes up for all the chops this little lady has been busting lately.  :)
