Today was Opening Day for the boys' baseball and we had a great time at the fields. Jack had an 8:15AM game and Thomas and Peter had an 11:00AM game, and there were plenty of snacks, shaved ice, hot dogs, kettle corn, jump houses, and even the Oriole bird mascot to enjoy. It was a full day but the weather was beautiful and we all enjoyed it!

Spring Snow Shower
We had a spring snow day yesterday! The kids were off school and everything. It was lots of fun and surely the last snow of the season. Davy especially had a blast tromping around in the snow and trying his hand at snow tubing.
Also, last Saturday Thomas and Peter had their first T-ball practice with their coach (Dad :) ). It was cold and windy, but fun!
We are all excited about Easter this Sunday, and it looks like the temperature will be in the high 50s or low 60s which is very welcome news after what has seemed like an unending winter.

Way overdue updates and pictures
I can't believe it has been this long since I've updated this poor, neglected blog! I only have a few minutes now, but I figure a short post with a few pictures is better than nothing. My pictures are a bit outdated, too, but I plan to dust off the camera and take more pictures in the coming weeks.
Our biggest news here is that we are expecting baby Campbell #5! I am into the second trimester now, just barely, and am just starting to come out of the sick, tired haze that has been the last 3 months. I'm still not feeling great yet, but I do feel better and better each week, so there is hope! The baby will be due in late September and we have an appointment in late April (the week of the 21st) to find out the gender and everything. We're very excited!
In other news, the kids are all doing well. School is going well for them, the older 3 are doing swimming lessons and progressing nicely, and in a few weeks Jack, Thomas, and Peter will all be playing baseball / T-ball! David will coach Thomas and Peter's team. We're all excited for spring weather and baseball games. Davy is running (!) and talking so much now. My new favorite word of his is "please" which sounds like "Pweeeeeeee!" and is adorable and much cuter than the whining for what he wanted.
David's work is going well. Very challenging, but he is doing great things there. He is trying to weather the effects of the sequestration budget cuts, but the fallout from that with his program is still a bit unclear. It is a stressful time, but he is managing the stress and work with grace.
My posting time has about run about, but I will put in a smattering of pictures from the last few months!

Botoes
What's that, you say? What is "Botoes"? It's a nonsensical nickname for Davy that Thomas invented and it has kind of stuck. :). I don't know why he started using Botoes, but I suppose that's OK. Chances are pretty good that he'll outgrow it by the time he's 10. Quite a few months ago we were driving home from somewhere, all the kids in the car, and Davy was just done with being in his carseat. Thomas sang out "Botoes to the rescue! Botoes to the rescue! Botoes to the rescue!" over and over and over again and Davy loved it. It calmed the beast, and it was such a ridiculous nickname that it kind of grew a life of its own.

Been away a long time
I don't have a really exceptional reason for the long break from this blog -- just the usual craziness of life in our house, I suppose. :). I hope to get back to posting a bit more often, even if it's just a picture here and there.
We've all been well, it's just that I rarely get more than a few minutes on the computer at a time, and usually that's reserved for bills and bank accounts and such. Jack and Thomas have been playing flag football this fall, and they have really enjoyed that. Their last game is this Saturday, and I look forward to a little less rushing around to and from practices and games.
Today the boys have a "Hurricane Day" off of school, so we plan to watch movies, make french bread pizza, make a blanket fort, and generally have fun while the wind and rain pummels the house :). So far it's just really rainy, but they say the worst is yet to come. We are very thankful for a dry and warm house today!
